Todai Buffet @ Miracle Mile: Las Vegas, NV

This weekend we found ourselves at Todai on the strip. I don't know exactly how or why, but we ended up there after a few shots at Fat Tuesday's at the Miracle Mile inside the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. If you want to get $1 shots on the strip, Fat Tuesday's is the place to go. Ask for Chris or Biff and they'll take care of you.

So we wandered into Todai because we've been to it in other cities. It was super packed and the service was ok. They got us drinks right away and that was the extent of their service. Once we had our drinks and we started eating, we seemed to be an after thought. That's fine for a typical buffet, but not one you'd find on the Las Vegas Strip. You would think they want tourists to enjoy and come back.

The food was ok. Mass produced so it wasn't the best or the worst. The sushi tasted fresh and the shrimp tempura is always a hit. We probably only spent about 30 minutes in the place since no one really tended to us. I would say it was an ok experience. I've definitely had better service at other buffets in Las Vegas. Lessoned learned. Stick to Summerlin Sushi for all you can eat sushi and all you can drink sake!

Cloth & Canvas Boutique: Las Vegas, NV

I was giggin at Cloth & Canvas on Friday and I had an amazing time as always. We had a ton or dope performers. We brought in the Cloth and Canvas House Band and they tore it up. We also had performances by Dopamine Flux and step crew, Molodi. It was a dope time had by all. Drinks were flowin, people were groovin and the place was poppin. If you have yet to check out Cloth and Canvas, do it soon as their doors will be closing at the end of September. They truly made their mark in the city of Las Vegas. They've supported the community to the fullest. It'll be sad to see them go, but it was definitely great while it lasted. Look for them to continue the events and keep up to speed at the Cloth and Canvas blog. See yall next time!

Ruby Tuesdays: Las Vegas, NV (Summerlin)

To round out the weekend, we finished up on Sunday with dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. We originally went to the one on Craig Road to find that it had been closed down. Now the only Ruby Tuesday's left in the Las Vegas area is in Summerlin off of Town Center. The service here was stellar! Our host was very friendly offering us either a table or a booth as she promptly sat us down. Our server was quick to come over and take our drink order even though we ordered 3 waters with lemon. Well, G did order Sam Adams in a cup which is another story to be told. We started off with the Spinach Artichoke dip which was fantastic! It was so delicious when our server can back and saw that we cleaned the plate and bowl, he said "it must have been horrible!" He knew we loved every single bite. We then ordered our main dishes. Shay had the Triple Prime Burger. G had the same with cheddar cheese and bacon on the side. I am trying to keep my girlish figure so I went with the Bella Turkey Burger, not a slouch burger at all. Can I just say the food was AMAZING?!?!?! Well it was so delicious. They serve your burgers without sauce on purpose. They season their meats so well that to sauce them up would be a crime. If you haven't had the chance to stop by Ruby Tuesday's, make it a point. May we recommend the Summerlin location if you are ever in the Las Vegas area. You can find them here:

Remedy's "A Local Bar": Henderson, NV

After partying at the Half Shell on Thursday night, I headed to Remedy's on the corner of St. Rose and Seven Hills. This is a very chill place with good prices and great food. It's a nice spot for a drink off of the strip and this place definitely still has a great vibe. The food was so delicious. I have a chicken sandwich with jalapeƱos, american cheese and mushrooms. Shay and I devoured that sandwich along with our beer battered artichoke hearts. Our server was pretty attentive although she didn't bring my friend's drink until we were done eating. She was pretty quick with our cocktails though. Overall, I would definitely recommend Remedy's for a drink or for a great meal. You can find them at:
